Well, the long weeked is over for me, and I really enjoyed being able to visit with all the nieces and nephews, sisters, and brother, not to mention parents. There weren't any major fights that would preclude any future visit, and everyone seemed to get along rather well. Tonight, and in the next few days, people will begin to move in their own general directions, but we have some pictures to remember it all with. My father summed it up pretty well, although morbidly, "The next time we get together like this, it'll probably be for a funeral, and then no one is going to want to take pictures."
On Saturday, we drove up to the Poconos to take a peek at the condo. It's going to be real nice, and the parents are excited about moving up there. Much for them to explore. The close on the house tomorrow, and the moving guys will be there the next day. I think this weekend, we'll be packing a few cars for the last pieces. I think the last day for them in Princeton will be the tenth, and my dad will start in NY on the 11th. They don't mess about in the hotel business. With all the moving and all the kids, my parents had frayed nerves, but once the boxes are unloaded, they'll begin to relax.
I really had a lot of fun with the nieces and nephews. It's going to be great to watch them grow. I don't know my uncles and aunts all that well, nor many of my cousins, but that's not the story for our side here.
I work on Saturday this weekend, which kind of throws me off, but at least i get my full hours. It should be nice having Sunday off, though.
Another note: last week, I sent an email with unsolocited advice to someone. I didn't expect a response at all, but I got one. She seemed to be appreciative of the advice. So that was kinda nice. Made my day. Let me back up a bit...I feel like a punk, or patronizing, ( I think she thinks I am patronizing) when I give unsolicited advice, so I try to watch myself.
So, on with the rest of the week. Bring it on.
