Went to see The Aviator last night. Wow. I never thought I'd say this, but Leo DiCaprio was brilliant and I think Martin Scorcese will be the odds-on favorite to wind for best director. It always amazes me what they can do with technology and film. The sheer scale of the scenes (the spruce goose flying), yet the fine attention to detail...man, I can't say enough. It's what I go to movies for.
