What's the motivation behind people wanting to drill for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge? If the oil can't be brought to market in 10 years, and the region would only produce at most 2.5% of our yearly oil consumption, the motivation probably wouldn't be to lower oil prices and lessen our dependence on foreign oil NOW.
Anyway, the senate is preparing to vote on drilling in ANWR today or tomorrow. They snuck it into a budget proposal that needs only 51 votes to pass.

This has become somewhat of a pattern for me. Wake up, read the news, get pissed, and then blog. I should just stop reading the news and be blissfully unaware. It would make getting up in the morning that much easier.
