People are going all sorts of nuts over the upcoming release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I think my old bookstore will be getting something like 1600 copies to sell, one of which will be mine when I get my grubby little hands on it this weekend.

They are great fun, but I'm still amazed at how much pull these books have. It just doesn't seem imaginable that people get this excited over a book.
I'm currently reading (and hope to finish by the weekend) Jerzy Kosinski's "Being There," the novel on which the movie is based. Quite fun. Check it out.
