Lennon on Rolling Stone
Lennon-Ono Photo Deemed Top Magazine Cover
On what would be the last day of his life, Lennon and Yoko Ono posed for Annie Liebowitz at their home in NYC's Dakota building for this photo. Lennon took off his clothes and curled up next to a clothed Yoko Ono. It would have been a great photo anyway, but it took on added meaning after some nut job killed him a few hours later just down the stairs. Rolling Stone put this photo on the cover, with nothing else. Quite poignant.
Can you believe that was almost 25 years ago? It's nice to know he's still remembered, as the Beatles got five albums in the top ten in XPN's countdown.
Rock on, brutha.

No time is better than the present. For curiousity's sake, what drew you to John Lennon?
