The Beatles have been an influence on my life since I was single-digits old, so I couldn't beleive my luck when a friend said she had an extra ticket for sale to his concert, Sept. 30 at Madison Square Garden. When I got the ticket, I just stared at it, amazed that I would get to see Paul McCartney.
He didn't disappoint! He was on and hit every note, and the band was very tight. The drummer, Abe Laboriel, Jr., is just silly good, but everyone in that band was fantastic. They played 37 songs, with a good mix of Beatles, Wings, and solo stuff. He played a few off the new album, and I was very impressed. CAn't wait to listen to the whole thing.
I was just happy that i got to see a Beatle in person...It absolutely floored me when I saw him play. It was amazing. I couldn't help but get a bit misty when he was up there performing "Hey Jude."
I'm smiling about it now still.
