You should be dancing

I was at the bookstore doing some Xmas shopping, and it was just way crowded. I don't beleive they had enough people to cover the information desk, so there was a small line there. Also, the registers were slammed. Probably just as long as when I worked at the store, if not longer. The only thing I could think was "Thank God I don't have to work here anymore."
I did get a chunk of the shopping done. I guess people expect me to either give books, CDs, or movies, and they won't be disappointed. My dad is stuck in Austria for the holidays, so I am going to try and ship him something tomorrow so that he has something to unwrap. Doubt that it'll get there before the holiday, but it's the thought, no?
We had our work holiday party this weekend at a local hotel, and it was pretty nice. The open bar helped loosen people up, and it was a good opportunity to see people whose names I usually only see on email. I staunchly refused to dance...I did have enough to drink to "think" I could dance, but not enough to get up and do it. I used to dance once. Not anymore.
