I went into my vacation figuring that I'd have the opportunity to answer some questions I had about life, the universe, and everything.
I don't think I had any big epiphanies, and I may have actually come home with more questions. As a souvenir, I would have preferred chocolate.
I did come away with the idea that the world is a big place meant to be experienced and explored. That's a fairly obvious observation, but I think I needed to be in the middle on nowhere on a mountaintop in Switzerland for it to sink in.
Something else...Rick Steves is a God -- OK, maybe a lower-level deity -- for travellers looking to save a buck or to find something that's not overrun by tourists.
Overall, it was nice being back in Switzerland, as I don't get to see my sister or my parents nearly enough. Everytime I go it feels more like home.
