Sunday

I finished the book--235 pages. I took a bit longer than I would have liked, frankly, but at least it's complete.
Now, things can get somehow back to normal.

A couple of notes:
1) A joke:
I want to be a procrastinator at a protest.
"What do we want?!
PEACE!
When do we want it?!
Maybe tomorrow?

2) I named my first cat, Galileo, after an Indigo Girls song of the same name. Not for any particularly meaningful reason; it happened to be one of the songs I heard on the radio on my way to meeting my mom and sis, who had surprised me with the little beast. It was the first thing that popped in my head for a name.
Anyway, I was just thinking about Karma this weekend--(Doesn't everyone think about Karma on weekends?--especially how the Indigo Girls refer to it in their song:
And then you had to bring up reincarnation
Over a couple of beers the other night
And now I'm serving time for mistakes
Made by another in another lifetime

Assuming this is true (and that's a big assumption), I wonder if all this time I've been paying for previous-me's mistakes. Karma, like revenge and salad, is a dish best served cold.
