I was lucky enough last week to be able to go to a UF football home game in Gainesville. Great seats, right along the 30 yard line. I haven't been to one in who knows how many years.
But, walking around campus during the afternoon before the game, I came to this conclusion: the tailgaters have it right, especially with the technology available these days.
We walked past several trucks/tailgate setups where they had a huge flat screen to watch all the football games of the day. Some had small grills going, too. So, even though I loved going to the actual game, it comes down to this: cramped seats and stadium, expensive food, and barely being able to move to watching the game on a huge flat screen while sitting in a comfortable lounge chair, eating a burger or hot dog from your own grill. That's a great way to watch a football game.
