Travel

I've been quiet here for a while, again.
I'm on the road tomorrow, or more accurately, the air, as I head down to Florida for the first time in a while. Flying into Orlando, where I'll meet up with a friend I haven't seen in 20 or so years. Wow.
Then, on to Gainesville! It'll be great to see the place again and actually be able to spend some time there. Looking forward to it. Even better is that I'll be going to my first Gator game in who knows how long. I'm sure at least 15 years.
On Sunday, heading back down to Orlando for a food and wine festival at EPCOT. Monday morning, I'll trek down to Tampa where I'll drop the car off--at this point, I'm sure gladly--and hang out with one of my oldest friends! I'll be flying home from Tampa that evening.
I would have liked to have somehow fit in St. Augustine into this little journey, but that might just have to be for the next time. I figure Orlando, Gainesville, and Tampa, and driving all points in between, will well enough fill three days.
2009 has been an odd year, to say the least, but I'm happy to have been able to travel a bit. Washington, DC for July 4th. Vermont in August. New Orleans in September. Switzerland in October (although that one was for a sad reason.)
I suppose for the next few months I'll stay put for a while.
