Delayed

I should be shot, or at least stared at disapprovingly, for making such a bad, and easy pun, on Tom Delay's name.
I've kept kinda quiet about all the shit that's hitting the fan about Tom Delay and how he conducts himself as a Representative. Guilty or not or alleged ethical lapses, he now represents to me all that is wrong with how are system works. How interests (I'm not going to call them special) can purchase access.

Basically, what I get out of all this mess is that I see Tom Delay as a potical whore who has been bought and paid for.
And here's the cynical me...I don't think most of the other politicians are any better. It's our crap system. The media just seem to focus on Delay because he has made it so bloody easy, and he's made powerful enemies as a political power.
This reminds me of a rather long diatribe I sent S. about politics and politicians, and how I might want to one day run for office, as I still have this silly naive belief that one can actually help others through the political process.
The two-word response summed it up: "Fuck politicians."
